Closing Mass

This very delightful gathering at the end of year. The school community get the chance to celebrate the year. The closing Mass is open to all members of the Chanel Community, which includes the wider Wairarapa Catholic Community. On occasion Cardinal John Dew presides over the mass as he is an old boy of St Josephs.

Leavers Dinner and Assembly

The leavers dinner is a very intimate occasion and usually involves the families and students involved with Year 13. The assesmbly takes place in the school hall and the dinner has on the past taken place at the Masterton COnservative Club. Family members are welcome to attend both events.

NCEA Exams

The end of year exams are usually the culmination of months of preparation. For many students it determines whether they gain access to university or a tertiary institution. Exams take place in the school hall and students only attend the exams and do not need to be in class if they are not in exams.

Uni Testaments

You may have the grades but students must have a testimonial from the Dean or SLT to gain entry to a university or tertiary course.
