Chanel has many winter sports during the season and they are played outdoors and indoors. Due to the requirement of playing indoors and having indoor facilities available for games, some games may be played late at night or not straight after school during the week.
Some winter sports are available to the very committed sports person and we also have a variety of sports which can be played at a more social pace. The competitive sports teams have a training session per week which is run by the coach. Again, the times of the session are determined by the indoor facility being available. Some coaches may have more than one training session per week but this is at the discretion of the coach.
The social teams are coached by the senior students or by a variety of students on the same team. Social teams do not normally have training sessions but some of the players may decide to have a mini session depending on work and school commitments.
There is a fee for playing in the college teams and this does not cover the end of season break up as each team will have separate ideas on how they want to celebrate the season. The fee for competitive teams is $55.00 and the fee for non competitive teams is $45.00. The difference in cost between the two seasons is the cost of hiring indoor facilities.
