About the team

Chanel College has a rich futsal history. The teams play in the local league and is made up of all the college teams in the Wairarapa. The school has a number of top class futsal facilities. There are two FIFA regulation futsal outdoor fields which are well maintained. There is also a indoor gymnasium which is big enough to host two futsal games at the same time. The College has both mens and womens futsal teams. The teams play on Saturday morning and train during the week. The school also has artificial turf with floodlights.

Congratulations to all players

Most of the soccer teams had a winning season and they all made an improvements on the previous season. The girls team made it to the semi final of their competition and lost to Kuranui is a closely fought contest. The second team made it to the final and played against Makoura. They won on penalties after not being able to put them away in regular time. The stand out players were Zac TeMaro and Josh Kerr. The first team won the final against Kuranui. They scored in the first 3 minutes and then again in the last 10 minutes of the game. The final result 2-0 made up for their loss in the previous season to Kuranui.
